I offer research and writing services for families with at least some history in the United States, who want to learn more about their ancestors and family history. These histories can of course stretch into other countries.
There are many genealogy research services out there. What makes me different? Storytelling. I’ll weave together the core facts and the story around them into a narrative format with details, photos and historical documents that will bring your family history to life. Depending on your needs, interests and budget, I offer several levels of service:
Services
Best Value: Full Package
This package includes a comprehensive series of steps that enable maximal research impact and a rich narrative output. The product is a fully referenced book presenting a narrative history that includes family trees, anecdotes, photos and other artifacts.
Step 1: Work with you to collect and review existing knowledge and documents, do initial database searches, and interview key family members.
Step 2: Provide an interim update and collaboratively define key open questions.
Step 3: Conduct the main research phase. This research will be remote.
Step 4: Synthesize all information and craft the story.
Step 5: Create the final product.
Each project is unique. After a free initial consultation, I will prepare a customized quote unique to your project, considering the number of family lines included and the complexity of the research involved.
Mini Packages
For projects with a limited scope or for those who want to start small before considering a larger project, mini packages offer a fixed number of hours of work.
The final product for a mini-package is a fully referenced PowerPoint presentation. The smaller the number of hours, the more focused the report will be on research findings. As the number of hours increases, more time can be dedicated to building the narrative.
If desired, the results of a mini project can be rolled over into a more complete package.
Pricing: 10 hours: $1,500
20 hours: $2,700
30 hours: $3,600
