I got my start creating family histories when I researched and wrote my own family story as a gift for my mother. I was able to trace her family from their homeland of Lebanon to the US, Canada and Brazil.

The work became a passion project. It was thrilling to find new relatives, learn how their lives were shaped by the events of their time and place, understand the choices they made and what roles they played in the family. My mother reacted with joy and awe.

Through the process, I also saw that my background, skills and interests make me uniquely suited to this type of work:

• Academic rigor: As an undergraduate student at Dartmouth College and a graduate student at Princeton University and Northwestern University, I was trained in research, logic and critical analysis. I learned how to dissect complex evidence, question assumptions and build solid, verifiable conclusions.

• Business experience: With an MBA and a twenty year corporate career, I know how to manage complex projects, collaborate with customers and contributors, and produce high quality products to meet timelines and expectations. I also practiced and honed the art of storytelling, synthesizing data and context into clear, compelling narratives.

• Passion for learning: My perspective is shaped by a lifelong appreciation for history and culture. Over the past three decades, I have visited 58 countries, approaching each with curiosity, respect and a learning mindset. I’ll bring a genuine interest in your family and its unique history to each project.
